The second modelling assignment of the first year saw us creating three
spaceships. Two 500 polys and one 1500 poly. We followed a similar approach
to building these models, but with some newly learnt tools to increase quality
and efficiency. The texturing was different, however, in that we used hand
painted textures in Photoshop in 1024×1024 resolution. Then, within 3DS Max
we applied the texture, straight on to the model itself.
